| So, what's left then? At right, Johnson re-ascending the broken off Aquaman buttress in February(?) 2005 after some of the crew hijacked the road and walked for several miles to pay our respects to fallen boulders. |

| Since you asked, here's a fairly complete list of problems that were listed in Ocean's Eleven and still remain in one way or another.
1. AJP Boulder - after the deluge, the mighty AJP, one of the finest single boulders in the universe, was reduced to a 4 foot tall hunk of perfect stone you'd readily ignore. Then Jeff Johnson and Neil Crancer spent an entire Saturday last spring digging it out. An 8 hour days worth, I recall. Numerous sessions were had over the summer...it was just like old times. |
And what about new stuff?
Well, here's the short list. At least that I can remember off the top of my head right now. The Wave Boulder 1. New Wave - precisely where The Wave was. Johnson made it a mission to get back up this thing. I couldn't get both feet off the ground after many attempts. The Main Pool 5. Slab - behind where the Machine Gun Boulder was. I think it's supposed to be fairly difficult. Lower Pool 7. Aguaman. A new gem for The Swimming Hole lies on the hanging arete/face between Abra-Cadaver and the waterfall. Neil Crancer busted this out last year. It's purely a water problem in the vein of Aquaman, and only do-able during higher water (that is, if you plan on falling off it). |
